The SoCal Premier League has a tremendous history in California.
The Adult Leagues are run by a board of volunteers who are also involved as coaches, managers and players on teams in the league.
We currently fields teams in Orange County, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Antelope Valley/Lancaster.
The traditional center of the League is Garden Grove, CA, where the League was first began using it’s primary home field: Westgrove Park.
The League is structured similar to that of many European Leagues such as English Premier League, La Liga & Serie A. There are competitive men’s divisions that have promotion/relegation each year.
Each team plays a home/away match against every team in the division
2 teams are promoted/relegated each season.
In addition to the regular season we have two Cups (Champions League/FA Cup/Copa Del Rey styled tournaments). These are The Raul Briones League Cup and the Barry Turner Master’s Cup, named after one of the men who dedicated many years of his life to running this league and a former player who played many years in the league before passing away too soon due to cancer.
The Raul Briones Cup allows teams to play against other league teams in different divisions and to compete to win either the Raul Briones Cup or the Friendship Cup.
The Barry Turner Master’s Cup is a competition of upwards of 30 over-35 teams in Southern California.
